party!

  • 9th Dec, 2006 at 8:01 AM
just got back from a party and after-party and damn, was my best evening since I've been here: first we wen to a Xmas party organised by the school and it was in cooperation with an ingeniorskole with only boys.quite tacky but around two, we took the bus down town and went to the craisy daisy. the most tacky and dodgy place you can imagine, but believe me it's the best you can get here. afterwards we went to the place of some guys from my school where we played poker... we won! now half an hour left before we can go to breakfast ... might just do some marketing...
thanks Isabelle and Sabine for the great night!

countdown: 5 days

  • 8th Dec, 2006 at 7:46 PM
My little danish adventure is almost to its end. Had a good time but really looking forward to go home and celebrate Xmas with friends and family. Last couple of days have been really busy and i have to hand in all the assignments before i leave and this deadline won't change ... so really have to be ready. Still have to do my marketing case :-$ and finish my dress for pattern design and some small stuff. On top of that I have to work on my report in connection with rfid... And off course i have to start packing everything.

By the way, found out that following pattern design in danish is not it. The teacher kinda refuses to speak english to me and i can't really follow in most of the classes, but yeah... bit proud of myself that I'm gonna finish the whole dress on my own, let's just hope it works out quite well because it's gonna be my sister's Xmas present... So sis I'm sorry in advanced! ;-)

But have to get ready for my last party here!

countdown: 1 month

  • 12th Nov, 2006 at 9:53 AM
Still one month to go and really having a very good time now. First couple of weeks were a bit hard because I had to take care of everything here but now that's almost over and I can just have some fun. School is interesting and good but still have some trouble following the pattern class in Danish, sometimes I just don't have a clue what I have to do and feel kinda lost... even in English it's hard bacause I don't know any of the terms.

After a week of only Danish classes we went on a "city"trip to Aarhus and got a VIP treatment in the Diesel store: massage, really nice food, wine à volonté, manicure,... we had loads of fun!!!

Since I came back after the holidays, it seems that everything has changed and damn, I'm just having fun with the girls here and looks like it's gonna be hard to leave this place... we'll see!

snow

  • 1st Nov, 2006 at 5:20 PM
had my first snow of the year! it's getting really cold now and it's almost all the time raining but this morning that rain turned into a snowstorm! nice to see but not very nice to walk to school in. luckily this afternoon the sun came through but then around half past four it starts to get dark here... not looking forward to the weather of the next couple of months!

here some pics i took around twelve today.

this is when the sun started to shine: everything was white

Kill Murphy

Okay, when I started walking to the station yesterday, (off course) it started raining. And I can assure you that walking in the rain with some way too heavy luggage and bags on high heels is not a lot of fun! But I got to the station and on the train and guess what... the train was completely full and they started kicking people off. I just had a last empty seat but that wasn't for a long time, apparently you had to make a reservation to get a seat and the lady at the ticket office hadn't told me about that. So sitting on my luggage for more than three hours was the only solution. (during that time the blocked lock of my suitcase opened, off course!) Finally after those quite long hours, I arrived in Herning. Just had to get a taxi in the pouring rain but in the end I was happy to get "home". I was already looking forward to get into the elevator, get all my stuff upstairs and finally change shoes! But as soon as I opened the door some Dutch girls told me that the elavator was not working anymore... think I got tears in my eyes at that moment. I just happen to live on the 10th floor! No other solution then dragging all my stuff upstairs which was probably very good for my physical condition. Wasn't very happy after all those "events" and was quite tired. As so, I went to bed early but couldn't sleep directly. I guess around one I must have fallen asleep but that wasn't for long either... woke up around two again because of the fire alarm! Things get soooooooo crazy in here. Had to go down in my pyjamas and sit in a very cold room until about three. The alarm was just crazy and the fire department came to check everything. After that hour they said us it was e technical problem... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
My day was just a series of unfortunate events I guess. But can someone please kill Murphy?!

shopping @ copenhagen

  • 21st Oct, 2006 at 1:01 PM
so I left Belgium yesterday morning and flew into Copenhagen. Had quite a hard time leaving home so had to get myself back on track and what's a better cure then shopping! Used all afternoon yesterday and this morning to make myself happier: some shirts, gloves, make-up,... A girl doens't need much more,... at least I don't :-) But on the other hand, shopping is a bit sado masochistic too: walking around in high heels all the time, is just killing me now! So went back to the hotel to get my other shoes out off my luggage and I don't know why, but my suitcase decided not to open anymore. Think I might force it with a screw driver later on but since I have to walk to the train station (still with my heels on), get on the train (more then three hours) and then take a bus to my school, it might not be such a good idea to open it now. So the point of my story is that my feet are killing me now and I can't get to my other shoes... Murphy's Law????
